Thanks to a turbocharged engine that seemingly offered unlimited tuning potential, it was always going to take something special to topple Ford’s Sierra RS Cosworth from the top of the Group A Touring Car tree.

However, that is precisely what Nissan created when it revived the legendary GT-R moniker for its R32 Skyliene that broke cover in August 1989.

With a twin turbocharged straight six engine, four-wheel drive, four-wheel steering and state-of-art electronics, the R32 GT-R instantly made every other Group A contender obsolete. It ultimately proved sufficiently unstoppable that many governing bodies elected to switch to the new Super Touring formula rather than wait for a manufacturer to dethrone the monster from Japan.

Surprisingly, although Group A regulations only required a production run of 5000 cars for homologation, and the fact the R32 GT-R was essentially a Japanese Domestic Market special, Nissan eventually sold nearly 44,000 examples of a model that quickly came to be regarded as a modern day sports car icon.

Currently on the market with Premium Classics in Boxtel, the Netherlands, is a low mileage example from the last six months of production in astoundingly fresh condition.

Manufactured in May 1994 and configured in Crystal White with the familiar Anthracite interior, this most exceptional R32 has covered a mere 7800km and appears to be a true timewarp unrestored example.

Truly factory new Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 with only 7,800KM on the odometer! Completely first paint, inside, outside and underneath as if it just rolled off the production line. Every nut and bolt is still as new, headlights without stone chips, no faded letters on buttons in the interior or scratches in the plastic for the meters. You have to see this car in person to experience the newness!

R32 GT-R was nicknamed 'Godzilla'. The car was given this nickname thanks to its dominance in Australian racing. From 1989 to 1993, the GT-R competed in the Japanese Touring Car Championship (JTCC) where it won all the races it entered. Out of a total of 5 seasons, it won 29 out of 29 races.

Today, at the Mount Panorama Circuit in Australia, the R32 still holds the Group A record with a time of 2:14.50. Other racing legends such as the Cosworth and M3 Evo could not match the GT-R.

The engine, the famous RB26DETT, was a masterpiece from Japan. The block itself was made of cast iron, and the cylinder head was made of aluminum. This resulted in a relatively low weight, but a block that was strong enough for much more power. Equipped with a twin turbo as standard, it made 280 hp and 368 Nm on paper in combination with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Despite the Gentlemen's Agreement which stated that production cars could not have more than 280 hp, in reality this was slightly higher. The R32 GT-R has around 320hp in reality. The engine is also known for its great tuning potential, although this one is still 100% stock!

This is one of the last examples to roll off the production line, with production date 05/94. Ultimate collector's copy that will certainly increase in value. Unique on the market in this condition and mileage. We would like to show it to you in all its glory in our showroom in Boxtel!
