To celebrate its 110th anniversary as an auto make, Bugatti produced a batch of ten Chiron-based Centodieci’s priced at €8m apiece before local taxes.

Unveiled at The Quail Motorsports Gathering in August 2019, the Centodieci was most notably equipped with a brand new body inspired by the ill-fated early nineties Bugatti EB110 SS. In addiiton, custom finishes were used for the interior surfaces, weight was reduced by 20kg and the eight-litre quad turbo W16 engine was tuned to produce an additional 98bhp (now 1577bhp).

Performance figures were unsurprisingly out of this world: 0-62mph took 2.4 seconds, 0-124mph took 6.1 seconds, 0-186mph took 13.1 seconds and top speed was an electronically limited 240mph.

Customer deliveries took place between June and December of 2022 and, given the prohibitively expensive list price, opportunities to acquire a Centodieci will be few and far between with most locked away in the private collections of ultra wealthy Bugatti VIPs.

However, one example is currently on the market with Joe Macari in London.

Configured in Argento with two-tone Black and Italian Red upholstery, this immaculate European-delivered car was the only example completed with the original EB110 moniker on its flanks. It has remained in the possession one owner since new, during which time the car has accumulated an impressive 5000km rather than being hidden away.

The Bugatti Centodieci was unveiled in 2019 at Monterey Car Week. It was built to celebrate Bugatti’s 110th Anniversary and pays homage to the legendary EB110 supercar from the 1990s. Just 10 examples were produced.

Like other limited-run models like the Divo and La Voiture Noire, the Centodieci utilises the basic underpinnings of a Chiron, if you could ever call them basic. As a result, the Centodieci features a carbon fibre monocoque that stops beyond the cabin to then connect to a subframe supporting the iconic 8-litre W16 powertrain.

That powertrain is largely the same as the one found in a Chiron too but has been fettled by Bugatti’s engineers to produce 1577bhp at 7000rpm – 98bhp more than standard. Performance figures are typically impressive, the car reaching 62mph in 2.4sec, 124mph in 6.1sec and 186mph in 13.1sec.

The Centodieci’s top speed has been limited to 235mph, but unlike the Chiron and Veyron which were both engineered chiefly as high-speed record breakers, the Centodieci is more about its design, and the not-so-subtle connection to its EB110 predecessor.

Aside from its clear proportional correlation to the Chiron, the Centodieci diverges from Bugatti’s curvaceous yet ornate aesthetic, instead referencing the EB110’s blockier ’90s look. The wraparound front windscreen is the most obvious change up front, which combined with a streamlined take on the EB110’s vented headlights and small, horseshoe grille makes for quite a distinct look compared to Bugatti’s recent models.

The Centodieci’s most obvious nod to the EB110, and specifically the 1992 Super Sport derivative, is the five port holes just behind the rear quarter windows which replace Bugatti’s usual C element, whether the full depth of the body as on the Chiron, or halfway down as on the Divo.

The Centodieci continues Bugatti's successful 110-year course of exceptional design and performance, while reviving the memory of the brand's recent history. The ten limited-edition vehicles are distinguished by their perfect elegance and sculptural beauty, making the Centodieci a true, tangible work of art.

This EU supplied example was delivered in 2022 and has just one owner from new.

Finished in EB110 Argent over Black & Italian Red leather, this particular car is also the only Centodieci to feature the original EB110 logo on the side.

Currently showing just over 5,000 kms from new this represents a remarkable opportunity to acquire a significant piece of Bugatti history that would be the jewel in the crown of any supercar collection. Contact us now for more information or to arrange a viewing.
