One to Buy: 500 mile Blue Royal Carbon 2018 Bugatti Chiron

When Bugatti finally launched the production-ready Veyron in 2005 it was the culmination of a troubled six-year gestation that owed much to the new car’s hitherto unmatched technical specification.

Although the Veyron proved more difficult to sell than Bugatti would have liked, much of this was down to less than ideal trading conditions for a large part of the car’s life. Accordingly, when it came to sanction a replacement (by which time the market for such vehicles was in rude health), there was no question it would happen.

The resultant Bugatti Chiron was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2016 and significantly improved on every aspect of its predecessor. In addition to an uprated quad turbocharged W16 engine that pumped out 1479bhp (making it around 50% more powerful than a Veyron), the Chiron’s body and interior were more elegantly resolved.

Of the few Chirons that have come to market since production began, arguably none have been configured in a lovelier specification than chassis 795088 which currently forms part of Issimi’s North American listings.

Painted monotone Blue Royal Carbon with Tangerine and Lake Blue upholstery, the stunning colour scheme is a far cry from the gaudy liveries that these cars have often been specified in. Chassis 795088 was also ordered with an eye-watering $441,000 of optional extras to include a full carbonfibre body and custom headrest embroidery.

Having covered just 500 miles from new in the hands of its one careful owner, the car is in superb shape and is offered having recently undergone a three -year service.
