One to Buy: ex-Walter Wolf 1989 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary
In the annals of Lamborghini history, no other customer was quite so influential as oil magnate and F1 team owner, Walter Wolf.
Having made millions from oil extraction technology and cargo trading, Wolf most famously commissioned a trio of renowned Countach specials during the mid-to-late 1970s. These spectacular cars became a frequent sight in the paddock at European F1 races and went on to form the basis for what became the wide-bodied Countach S.
In addition to his widebody Countach fleet, Walter Wolf also ordered a custom Miura SV from Lamborghini along with a narrow-bodied Countach LP400 taht featured a unique roof-mounted spoiler. Another of his famous commissions was a road-going version of the 1981 Le Mans-winning Porsche 935-based Kremer K3.
Towards the end of the 1980s, Walter Wolf also became the owner of one of the last Countach to leave the Sant’Agata factory, a 25th Anniversary currently on offer with Curated in Miami.
Delivered to Wolf Auto in Germany on September 19th 1989, chassis KLA12751 was configured in arguably the best colour scheme for one of these cars: Acapulco Blue Metallic with Panna upholstery. Wolf opted not have a rear spoiler fitted and KLA12751 looked all the better for it.
Today, KLA12751 is offered in excellent condition throughout having covered a little under 19,000km from new. It represents an impossibly rare chance to acquire an ex-Walter Wolf Countach.

This 1989 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary, production number 1663 and chassis number 2731, is a rare carbureted downdraft European example finished in the striking Acapulco Blu with a Panna interior.
Delivered new to famed Lamborghini engineer and Canadian Formula 1 team owner Walter Wolf, this car carries the legacy of performance enhancements Wolf inspired. Displeased with the performance of his Countach, Wolf enlisted the help of engineer Gian Paolo Dallara, resulting in the introduction of the iconic wide wheels, fender flares, and an adjustable rear wing that subsequently transitioned to production models, increasing power and performance.
The car was delivered to Wolf Auto, Germany, on September 19, 1989, and later registered in the Netherlands with the license plate PJ-RT-78. In 1995, it was photographed at the ILOC meeting in Oostende, Belgium, by Marcel de Lange and offered for sale by German distributor Auto Kremer, carrying dealer plates BN-04169.
Since 2018, this Countach has been available for sale by Wiggers Mastercars in Enschede, The Netherlands. The car has traveled 18,553 kilometers and recently received a fresh service, ensuring it is turn-key ready for its next owner. This Countach represents a remarkable piece of automotive history, reflecting both the engineering prowess and the legacy of Walter Wolf.
