One to Buy: ex-Walter Wolf 1989 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary

In the annals of Lamborghini history, no other customer was quite so influential as oil magnate and F1 team owner, Walter Wolf.

Having made millions from oil extraction technology and cargo trading, Wolf most famously commissioned a trio of renowned Countach specials during the mid-to-late 1970s. These spectacular cars became a frequent sight in the paddock at European F1 races and went on to form the basis for what became the wide-bodied Countach S.

In addition to his widebody Countach fleet, Walter Wolf also ordered a custom Miura SV from Lamborghini along with a narrow-bodied Countach LP400 taht featured a unique roof-mounted spoiler. Another of his famous commissions was a road-going version of the 1981 Le Mans-winning Porsche 935-based Kremer K3.

Towards the end of the 1980s, Walter Wolf also became the owner of one of the last Countach to leave the Sant’Agata factory, a 25th Anniversary currently on offer with Curated in Miami.

Delivered to Wolf Auto in Germany on September 19th 1989, chassis KLA12751 was configured in arguably the best colour scheme for one of these cars: Acapulco Blue Metallic with Panna upholstery. Wolf opted not have a rear spoiler fitted and KLA12751 looked all the better for it.

Today, KLA12751 is offered in excellent condition throughout having covered a little under 19,000km from new. It represents an impossibly rare chance to acquire an ex-Walter Wolf Countach.
