One to Buy: 1 of 1 in Horizon Blue Metallic 2004 Porsche 911 3.6 Carrera 4S (996.2)

We do love a “one-of-one” order here at Supercar Nostalgia and, in that vein, going under the hammer at Iconic Auctioneers’ Stoneleigh Park sale in Warwickshire on February 21st is a really interesting 2004 example of Porsche’s venerable 911 Carrera 4S.
Uniquely, chassis WP0ZZZ99Z4S605115 was the only 996 4S that emerged from Porsche’s Exclusive department wearing this handsome shade of Horizon Blue Metallic paint. Inside, the alcantara roof lining and carpets were black while almost every other surface to include the centre console and steering wheel got covered in cream leather.
In addition to its one-off livery, chassis ‘605155’s first owner ticked a long list of optional equipment to include Tiptronic transmission, a sunroof, heated electric memory seats, a thicker steering wheel, an aluminium gear selector lever, a handbrake lever with aluminium inlay, stainless steel door entry guards with Carrera script, anti-dazzle interior and exterior mirrors, headlamp washers and a rear wiper.
Chassis ‘605115’ was supplied new by Lancaster Porsche Colchester to a local family with whom it has remained ever since. Handed down from father to son, the 4S underwent six services between 2004 and 2016 at which point the car went into storage with an indicated mileage of 31,908.
With occasional use and MOT appointments runs since then, the speedometer now reads approximately 36,390 miles.
Needless to say, chassis ‘605115’ is accompanied by its original book pack so this looks an excellent way to get into a collector-grade widebody 911.
