History of chassis 1121208

Chassis 1121208 was a left-hand drive European-market Countach LP400 S built during the Series 2 era.

These Series 2 derivatives retained the low body configuration of the Series 1 variant and added new concave wheels. 105 were built.

Dispatched on September 29th 1980, the order for chassis 1121208 had been placed via the SEA Auto dealership in Rome. It was configured in the charismatic colour scheme of Blu Tahiti with a Bianco interior and no rear spoiler.

Once in Rome, chassis 1121208 was then delivered to its first owner who resided in the Dusseldorf region of Germany. The car was issued licence plate D LE 773.

Before long, the Countach had found its way to France. It is depicted here outside the Parisian Lamborghini agency, JB Automobiles, by which time it had been re-registered 4948 WWE 75.

Later in the 1980s, chassis 1121208 wore the French plates 1389 WWR 06 and 2588 WWC 06.

While on the latter of these, the car starred in the fruity 1987 French film Police des mouers: Les filles de Saint Tropez in which a VIP’s niece Is kidnapped by slave traders.

Later in its life, chassis 1121208’s original engine was exchanged for a Quattrovalvole unit.
