One to Buy: Manual No Wing 2010 Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV

As the Murcielago reached the end of its production life, Lamborghini decided to introduce a limited run special that revived the firm’s SV moniker previously attached to some of its most revered models.
Following in the footsteps of the Miura SV and Diablo SV, the new Murcielago LP670-4 SV was the fastest, most extreme road-going iteration of Lamborghini’s early 21st century flagship supercar.
Offered exclusively in Coupe trim, the SV featured an array of significant enhancements to include a stiffer, lighter chassis, a 5% power boost, the normally optional carbon brakes and front axle lift fitted as standard, new wheels and tyres, a revised aero kit, a simplified sports-tuned interior and 100kg of weight saving.
Although a production run of 350 cars was anticipated, the depressed post 2008 financial crash economy resulted in just 186 examples of the Murcielgao SV having been produced between 2009 and 2010.
Set to go under the hammer in one of RM Sotheby’s Sealed auctions scheduled for August 24th to 26th is a uniquely specified Murcielago LP 670-4 SV and one of only five fitted with a six-speed manual transmission: chassis ZHWBE81G0ALA04015.
Ordered via Lamborghini’s Ad Personam programme, chassis ‘ALA04015’ was configured with Marrone Eklipsis paint, no rear spoiler, LP640 Comfort seats and upholstery trimmed in a mixture of Avorio Lilium and Marrone Janus alcantara with Grigio Phoenix stitching.
Believed to be the last manual Murcielago SV to leave Sant’Agata (making this the last manual V12 Lamborghini ever built), the Ontario-domiciled chassis ‘ALA04015’ heads to auction with a little under 8000km currently showing on the odometer.
