History of chassis 1121378
Like many Countach bound for the Middle East, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand, chassis 1121378 arrived in London prior to final dispatch.
Completed on October 23rd 1981, this Series 3 LP400 S was ordered through Achilli Motors, Milan, by a Sheikh from Abu Dhabi. The specification included Rosso Granada Met. paint with a Bianco interior, silver wheels and no rear spoiler.
237 examples of the LP400 S were manufactured between early 1982 and early 1985. 83 were Series 3 variants which had a slightly higher ride height and a little extra headroom compared to earlier iterations.
These photographs were taken on Regent Street in London during the spring of 1982. At this point the car was registered QX 1634.
By the late 1980s, chassis 1121378 was white with a red interior
