One to Buy: 1 of 6 in Giallo 1990 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary

When Chrysler purchased Automobili Lamborghini from the Mimram Group in April 1987, a replacement for the long-running Countach seemed to be progressing well. However, Chrysler management were not at all happy with what they saw and the new model was pushed back a couple of years.

To fill the gap until what became the Diablo was ready, Chrysler hastily commissioned a version of the existing Countach Quattrovalvole with side skirts and a couple of other minor tweaks. Meanwhile work began on a more comprehensive refresh.

What emerged was dubbed the Countach 25th Anniversary and, in a red hot market for high end exotics, it proved the fastest selling Countach of all.

Currently on offer at the Curated showroom in Miami is one of just six 25th Anniversaries completed in the stunning colour scheme of Giallo with Nero upholstery, a combination that suits these last-of-line variants perhaps better than any other Countach.

Chassis KLA12009 was completed on June 20th 1990 and supplied to Lamborghini’s Monaco distributor, Vintage Automobiles. In later years, the car had its rear spoiler removed and was re-painted silver.

More recently, KLA12006 has been returned to its original livery and is being offered in excellent condition throughout with a little under 39,000km on the odometer.
