VIN: Lamborghini Countach LP400 S chassis 1121456
History of chassis 1121456
Chassis 1121456 was one of 82 Series 3 Countach LP400 S built. Compared to its predecessor, the Series 3 featured ride height raised by 30mm, no central roof tunnel and a couple of suspension tweaks.
Just two Countach were originally painted pink; the other was a right-hand drive 5000 S (chassis DLA12555).
1121456’s Rosa Petalo paint was complemented by a Bianco interior. It was also specified with a rear spoiler, a special rear bumper assembly and custom licence plate illumination.
The car was dispatched from the factory on 26th February 1982. It was ordered through Al Ajada in Saudi Arabia, but may never have left Europe. It arrived in Paris on temporary export plates EE 94227 and spent much of its early life in France.
1121456 is depicted here in 1982 outside the Prince de Galles hotel on Avenue George V in Paris.
Later on, the car was converted to standard specification, the colour was changed to black on black and the rear spoiler was removed.
