History of chassis 1121372
Chassis 1121372 was a Series 3 LP400 S built in right-hand drive. The Series 3 variants differed from the Series 2 on account of their taller ride height and roomier cockpit. 82 were built of which 15 were right-hand drive.
This car was originally configured with Rosso paint, a Bianco interior and the expensive rear spoiler option.
It was dispatched from the factory on October 6th 1981 and arrived in the UK shortly afterwards. It was sold via Portman Lamborghini and registered KYU 40X in November 1981.

In 1984 the car was sold by Heathmans in London for £58,000. The buyer was Terry Rayner who also owned a famous silver Ferrari 308 GTB modified by Koenig with a twin turbo engine (registered T300).
By 1985, the Countach had been re-registered VGW 991X. It is pictured above wearing this new plate at a Goodwood track day during the summer of 1985.
