VIN: the Alfred Perry Lamborghini Miura P400 SV chassis 4812
History of chassis 4812
Lamborghini built nine Miuras to right-hand drive SV specification, one of which was chassis 4812.
It left the factory on December 31st 1971 and a few days later arrived at the marque’s British distributor, Lamborghini GB in the City of London.
Uniquely, chassis 4812 was painted Verde Miura with a Nero interior.
In addition to having been the only green right-hand drive SV, chassis 4812 was the sole guida destra example not to be configured with air-conditioning. The car was first registered in January 1972 and, during its early life, appeared on the licence plates 913 LN and JLL 838K.
The first owner was Alfred Perry of Eastbourne.
In 1975, chassis 4812 was sold to Ron Stern in London. Soon afterwards it incurred accident damage by which time less than 10,000 miles were on the clock.
The car was purchased form an insurance company, repaired and the colour changed to Rosso.
Chassis 4812 subsequently went through the hands of several more British owners before later being restored to its original colour scheme.
