History of chassis 3799

Chassis 3799 was a left-hand drive home market Miura S delivered completed on November 15th 1968.

It was configured in the period colour scheme of Verde Miura with Senape upholstery and was dispatched to the Turin-based Lamborauto dealership.

From here it was sold to Turin resident Piero Quadro on January 2nd 1969.

Shortly after he had collected his new car, Quadro took a series of photographs at the Turin Aero Club where it appeared with A82680 TO plate up front and Prova TO 1268 plate out back.

Sig. Quadro retained the Miura until February 1970, at which point the car rapidly went through the hands of a succession of Italian owners.

It was acquired by Angelo Giuliano of Saluzzo in February 1970 and two months later returned to Turin when it was purchased by Arduino Messina. Six more owners had taken possession of chassis 3799 by September 1974, soon after which the car departed for Switzerland.

By the mid 1980s it had been exported to France and in 2001 arrived in the UK at which point the upholstery was switched to blue.
