History of chassis 1121326
Dispatched from the factory on July 4th 1981, chassis 1121326 was one of 15 Series 3 LP400 S built in right-hand drive. Of these, it was the only example painted Argento (silver). It also came with dark blue leather upholstery, matching carpet and the expensive but popular rear wing option.
Lamborghini manufactured 237 examples of the LP400 S between 1978 and 1982. 83 were Series 3 variants which had a slightly higher ride height and a little extra headroom compared to earlier iterations.
1121326 was sold new through the Cooper BMW and Ferrari main dealer on Loughborough Road in Rothley, Leicester.
It was first registered WRT 176X and subsequently SMW 53, AGT 239W and EHJ 152X.
The car frequently attended Lamborghini Owners Club events and supercar test days throughout the 1980s and 1990s before being exported to South Africa in the 2000s.
