VIN: Lamborghini Countach Quattrovalvole chassis JLA12387
History of chassis JLA12387
Chassis JLA12387 was one of the 17 right-hand drive Countach Quattrovalvoles built with side skirts.
It was painted the popular shade of Bianco Polo Park with a Nero interior and optional rear spoiler.
The car was dispatched from the Lamborghini factory on June 23rd 1988 and delivered to Portman Concessionaires in London. On August 3rd, it was registered F926 OYR. Portman also registered another nine Lamborghinis at the same time. As a result, the consecutively numbered plates F919 OYR to F928 OYR were used on a mixture of skirted Quattrovalvoles, Jalpas and 25th Anniversarys.
JLA12387 was purchased by Balmoral Coal PLC in London for its first owner, Mr Edwards, a director of the company.
During the winter of 1989-1990, the car was offered for sale by Bramley Motors in Guildford, Surrey. By the spring of 1990, JLA12387 was at Bramley wearing the registration UFE 1. It had returned to F926 OYR by the summer of 1990, when it appeared at the Silverstone Historic Festival.
By the year 2000, JLA12387’s rear spoiler had been removed and the body coloured wing mirrors had returned to black.
Unfortunately, the car was severely damaged in an accident over the winter of 2002-2003, after which it was parted out by Eurospares in Halstead, Essex.
