History of chassis JLA12283

17 Countach Quattrovalvoles were built in right-hand drive with side skirts, one of which was chassis JLA12283.

Finished in Bianco Polo Park with matching Bianco leather, Nero carpet and the expensive rear spoiler, it was dispatched from the Lamborghini factory on February 22nd 1988.

Later that month, the car was registered E181 LYY by Portman Concessionaires in London.

JLA12283’s first owner was Vahe Melkonian who drove the car extensively over the next couple of years. During this time, it racked up a substantial mileage and was frequently seen at track days and Lamborghini Owners Club events.

JLA12283 subsequently passed through the hands of another couple of owners. It currently resides in the UK and has covered over 80,000km, making it one of the most travelled right-hand drive Countach.
