History of chassis HLA12122

HLA12122 was one of 610 Countach Quattrovalvoles built between 1985 and 1988. It is believed to be the only Countach ever configured with Verde Chiaro Metallizato paint. The Bordeuax leather used for most of the upholstery was also imported at special request.

Right-hand drive, silver wheels, no rear wing and black leather for the steering wheel and upper dash completed the specification.

HLA12122 was dispatched from the factory on 13th February 1987. It arrived shortly afterwards at UK distributor, Portman Lamborghini. Portman registered the car D232 HUL.

The first owner retained his one-off Countach until late 1993, by which time it had covered less than 2000km. It subsequently appeared for sale at Portman and the recently-appointed Bramshaw sales agency in Bournemouth.

The second owner later switched HLA12122 to his private plate, B1 USH.
