History of chassis 1121485

Dispatched from the factory on May 17th 1982 and registered LHV 40X on June 26th, chassis 1121485 was the last right-hand drive LP400 S built. It was one of three constructed after 5000 S production had already begun (the others being 1121483 and 1121495).

237 LP400 S were manufactured across three distinct series. Chassis 1121485 was a Series 3 variant of which 82 were completed including 15 right-hand drive examples.

Painted white with matching leather and carpet, the expensive rear spoiler option was specified.

The car became a frequent sight in London between 1982 and 1983.

In 1984, it was sold to the second owner who switched to his personal registration, TAM 1.

The car was always maintained by Portman Lamborghini.

In January 1991, it went into long-term storage. Still with the second owner, it emerged in June 2014 to be auctioned by Historics at 13,642km.

These photographs were taken at Hans Place in London (1982), outside the Chameleon Cars showroom on Park Lane (1983) and at the Portman Lamborghini service centre in Brentford (1994).
