VIN: the Rob Capp Lamborghini Countach 5000 S chassis ELA12754
History of ELA12754
Chassis ELA12754 was one of the 37 Countach 5000 S built in right-hand drive.
It was ordered by Rob Capp of Bristol, the first of three Countach he would order from Portman Lamborghini over the next few years.
Rob Capp configured his 5000 S in Bianco Perlato, reputedly with a Champagne interior. However, upon delivery the car’s interior was changed to the more appropriate shade of Bianco.
Chassis ELA12754 was dispatched from the factory on November 22nd 1984 and arrived in Britan shortly afterwards. It was then registered on Capp’s personal plate 185 EXY.
Over the next couple of years, the pearl white Countach was a frequent attendee at owner’s club events and track days. It is depicted here at a Goodwood track day in the spring of 1985.
In October 1986, Rob Capp took delivery of his second Countach: a pearl white Quattrovalvole (chassis GLA12038).
Chassis ELA12754 was re-registered B143 AHM and subsequently went through the hands of a couple more owners. By 1990 it had been repainted red.
In March 2003 the car appeared in a Classic & Sportscar road test. It starred on the front cover wearing the number plate JAK 350N. Since then, ELA12754 has been restored to its original colour scheme and exported to Australia.
