History of chassis CLA12515
Chassis CLA12515 was among the earliest of the 37 right-hand drive Countach 5000 S built between 1982 and ‘85. Total production during this period came in at 321 units.
Originally configured in Nero with Champagne upholstery and the expensive rear spoiler option, CLA12515 was signed off on September 24th 1982 and dispatched to Lamborghini’s British distributor, London-based Portman.
The car was first registered in January 1983 and Portman sold it to serial Countach owner, Lee Skinner.
During the first few years of its life, CLA12515 ran the British licence plates TJI 7454 and later BRK 756Y. It is pictured here at a Cadwell Park track day in 1986.
The Countach was next seen on BUL 112 (at the Ferrari Owners Club concours in 1989) by which time its interior had been changed from Champagne to Red. Later in 1989, the car was switched to 21 HDT. It is depicted on that plate at Portman in 1989 and ‘90.
