VIN: Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary chassis KLA12879
History of chassis KLA12879
Chassis KLA12879 was one of three right-hand drive Countach Anniversaries that left the factory painted Giallo Fly. The other pair were delivered to South Africa and Brunei.
KLA12879’s first owner ordered the car with a black interior and yellow piping. It was dispatched on January 4th 1990 and arrived at Portman Lamborghini shortly afterwards.
Upon delivery, the car was registered G761 VHM.
During the summer of 1990, KLA12879 was displayed by Portman at the Silverstone Historic Festival.
Towards the end of that year, it was test driven by World Sports Cars magazine along with a Miura SV and Diablo. All three cars appeared on the front cover of the January / February 1991 edition.
The first owner retained KLA12879 until 1993.
Lamborghini Great Britain subsequently displayed the car at the Jota launch in the summer of 1995. It was presented with the yellow Jota and a matching Miura SV. By this time, the Countach was registered G931 TRR.
KLA12879 was sold again in 1996 and 1999. By the summer of 1999, it had been re-registered 123 FAB and equipped with a rear spoiler. The yellow Anniversary became a regular at Lamborghini club events and the Silverstone Historic Festival.
Unfortunately, KLA12879 was wrecked in a serious accident during 2018. The remains were parted out by Eurospares.
