VIN: Barry Robinson's Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary chassis KLA12462
History of chassis KLA12462
Chassis KLA12462 was the first Countach 25th Anniversary delivered to the UK and one of 67 right-hand drive examples built.
Dispatched on October 21st 1988, it was completed in Rosso with a Panna interior and Rosso piping. The Countach arrived at Portman Lamborghini a few days after completion on temporary Italian export plates, EE 673 AK.
KLA12462 was ordered by demolition contractor, Barry Robinson, who was a well-known personality on the British Lamborghini scene. He had previously owned a 5000 S (chassis CLA12550) and a Quattrovalvole (chassis FLA12802), both of which had worn Robinson’s personalised number plate, BR 33.
BR 33 was subsequently put onto this latest acquisition.
KLA12462 was a frequent attendee at Lamborghini Owners Club events and featured extensively in the Peter Dron book Lamborghini Countach: The Complete Story published in 1990.
When Barry Robinson sold KLA12462, it was re-registered F467 PYE and fitted with a rear spoiler. Classic & Sportscar ran a feature on the car in their January 2005 edition.
Bonhams later auctioned KLA12462 at their April 2006 Hendon sale at which point it had covered 15,800km.
