One to Buy: 154 mile Candy Red 2022 Aston Martin Valkyrie
It’s no secret that here at Supercar Nostalgia we think, of all the high end machinery produced this century, the Aston Martin Valkyrie is far and away the most impressive.
In addition to a specification unparalleled in the modern era, the Valkyrie was blessed with a perfectly balanced avant garde beauty that, combined with its array of cutting edge design features, positioned the Adrian Newey-designed car in a different league to anything else that has emerged since the dawn of the millennium.
With all that in mind though, these cars are currently selling at a fraction of what it would cost to get into a Ferrari LaFerrari or Pagani Zonda which, in all honesty, are simply not in the same league whichever metric you want to measure them by.
Currently on offer at the Tom Hartley Jnr. showroom in Leicestershire is a particularly nice delivery mileage Valkyrie from 2022 and the third from last example built: chassis 148.
The unique specification settled on by 148’s first owner comprised Valkyrie Candy Red paint with Black alcantara upholstery and a huge number of optional extras to include the roof and engine cover in high gloss exposed carbonfibre, an exposed carbonfibre roof strake, masses of Mokume carbonfibre inside and out, suspension shrouds in exposed satin carbonfibre, titanium badges, matt black aluminium honeycomb wheels, black brake calipers and the full Inconel exhaust system with black exhaust pipes.
Chassis 148 comes with the remainder of its manufacturers’ warranty (which runs until November 2025) and underwent its most recent service at the Aston Martin factory in February 2024.

Chassis No.: S70148
Mileage: 154 Miles
Valkyrie Candy Red with Black Alcantara
The Aston Martin Valkyrie takes its name after the Norse mythological figure, it is also known by its code-names: AM-RB 001 (‘AM’ stands for Aston Martin, and ‘RB’ stands for Red Bull) and ‘Nebula’ (an acronym for Newey, Red Bull and Aston Martin). It is a limited-edition hybrid hypercar collaboratively built by British automobile manufacturers Aston Martin, Red Bull Racing Advanced Technologies and Cosworth.
Powered by a mid-engine 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12, combined with an electric motor for instant torque, the Valkyrie produces a total output of 1140 bhp, with 1000 bhp coming from the V12 alone. Even more impressive is that the car’s structure doesn’t contain a single steel component, allowing it to weigh just 1,030 kg—an attribute more common in LMP1 or Formula One cars, but delivered here in a road-legal format with the Valkyrie.
Its exterior is highly aerodynamic, featuring an extensively open underfloor that operates on the principle of the Venturi effect, allowing it to produce 1,814 kg (4,000 lb) of downforce at high speeds. Gaps on the car’s surface, such as above the front axle and the roof intake, along with a large front splitter, contribute to generating downforce. The wheels are also designed to optimize airflow while being as lightweight as possible.
The interior has no gauge cluster, but rather a collection of screens. By the left and right corners are the screens for the camera side mirrors. One screen sits at the top of the centre console. A screen is used on the race-inspired removable steering wheel and acts as the driver gauge cluster. Dials and switches sit beside the wheel screen to allow for easier changes without driving interruption. The carbon fibre seats are bucket variants and the first owner is given the choice of both race and conventional seat belts for each seat.
This particular UK supplied example was configured in a unique spec and with a whole host of factory optional extras which include; roof and engine cover in gloss carbon fibre, bespoke exterior paint in Valkyrie Candy red, black brake calipers, interior hardware exposed twill carbon, steering wheel Titanium switches, driver and passenger tub back large squab cushions, deboss Alcantara trim, front and rear Q graphics in Quantum, full Mokume carbon fibre pack, matt black aluminium honeycomb wheels.
In addition, the car was specified with clam vanes in satin Mokume carbon fibre, exposed carbon fibre roof strake, suspension shrouds in exposed satin carbon finish, Aston Martin Lagonda wings badge in Titanium, full Inconel system with black exhaust tailpipes, seat pad colour in pure black debossed Alcantara, seat pad and embroidery in Chancellor red, 6-point seat harness in black, steering wheel trim in pure black Alcantara, interior hardware pack in satin Mokume carbon fibre, headlamp scoop in satin Mokume carbon fibre and full paint protective film.
Our car also comes complete with its 2 x headphones, spare key, centre wheel lock socket, battery conditioner, handbook, warning triangle, tyre inflation kit along with an emergency tool kit, towing eye and a dedicated history file that includes a copy of its original invoice and statement of origin. It maintains the remainder of its manufacturers’ warranty that ends on the 15/11/2025 and benefits from an annual service carried out back at the Aston Martin factory in February 2024.
