History of chassis 4996

Chassis 4996 was a left-hand drive Miura SV configured in the rarely seen colour combination of Nero Cangiante with Bianco leather upholstery and Nero carpet. The wheels and side sills were painted contrasting Oro.

4996 was signed off on January 28th 1972 and supplied to the SEA dealership in Rome from where it was purchased by Bernard Lemesie of Nantes.

Bernard Lemesie must have considered his handsome black Miura in high regard for he retained the car (registered 111 RJ 44) until 1983 / ‘84. During this period, chassis 4996 was occasionally taken back to Sant’Agata for maintenance. It is depicted here on one such visit alongside factory test driver. Enzo Moruzzi.

Since the mid 1980s, chassis 4996 has gone through the hands of a couple more European owners and been restored to original configuration.
