History of chassis RLA12072

Chassis RLA12072 was the third of 18 right-hand drive Diablos built to SE30 specification.

It was commissioned by Lamborghini GB in Reading to serve as their press car and demonstrator.

RLA12072 was the only right-hand drive SE30 painted Nero. Lamborghini GB also configured the car with a Black alcantara interior with red piping.

The uniquely appointed machine was registered M105 SDP in February 1995.

It is depicted here during May 1995 at Goodwood track day and then at the Lamborghini GB headquarters in Reading for the UK launch of the SE30 Jota.

Shortly before these photographs were taken, Autocar magazine had road tested the car for their 10th May 1995 edition (where it starred on the front cover). RLA12072 also appeared in the June 1995 edition of Car magazine where it was used for a comparison test alongside the new Porsche 911 Turbo (993).

Lamborghini GB subsequently sold the car to the first of several UK owners.
