History of chassis 30009

Chassis 30009 was numerically the third of 37 Aston Martin V8 Volantes built with coachwork by Zagato.

Of these, three were painted Hunter Green of which two (chassis 30009 and 30030) were upholstered with a Dark Red interior.

Whereas chassis 30009 was built in right-hand drive with a manual gearbox, chassis 30030 was left-hand drive and came with an automatic transmission.

Upon completion, chassis 30009 was sent to Aston Martin Works Service where it was converted with the more attractive Vantage Zagato front end. It was also fitted with split rim BBS-style cross-spoke wheels.

The car is depicted here at Aston Martins Sales Limited in Knightsbridge during early 1990.
