One to Buy: 2800km MSO-equipped 2017 McLaren 675LT Spider
/ Ben Tyer
Twelve months after the critically acclaimed 650S had been unveiled as a replacement for the MP4 12C, McLaren presented an even more focused elaboration of the theme at Geneva in March 2015.
The 675LT that emerged featured a comprehensive array of enhanced equipment; the engine and exhaust system were uprated along with the gearbox software, a new aero kit was installed, the brakes, wheels and tyres also came in for attention and, in standard trim, the interior was simplified.
With less weight, more power and limited edition status (just 500 regular Coupe variants would be constructed), the 675LT flew off the shelves in impressive fashion.
In December 2015, McLaren revealed a 675LT Spider would also be offered in a limited run of 500 units, one of which is currently on the market with L’Art de l’Automobile in Paris.
Delivered to McLaren Brussels in November 2016 and first registered in January 2017, this spectacular example of the highly sought after 675LT Spider was configured in the superbly well-suited colour scheme of Sapphire Black Metallic with two-tone Carbon Black and McLaren Orange upholstery.
The enormous list of optional equipment fitted at the factory includes the McLaren Special Operations front wing louvres and carbonfibre airbrake, lift system, Super Lightweight forged wheels with Diamond Cut finish and the carbonfibre interior upgrade, exterior upgrade, wheel arches, side vents and door mirros.
The first owner also elected to have climate control and a sound system installed (both of which were no-cost options on the 675LT).
Having covered just 2800km from new, and with service history exclusively at McLaren Brussels, this must be one of the finest 675LT Spiders in existence.
