As a consequence of its unrivalled technical specification and groundbreaking performance, every McLaren F1 is a very special car. However, even among such rarefied company, some stand out as arguably the ultimate examples of the breed.

One such machine is chassis 075, the last F1 constructed and which is currently being offered by Tom Hartley Jnr.

Commissioned by TAG co-owner and Vice President, Aziz Ojjeh, chassis 075 was completed in May 1998, not only with a unique colour combination, but also an array of features not seen on any other F1.

Having agreed to fund the $5m development required by Porsche to create a turbocharged Formula 1 engine for McLaren in the early 1980s, TAG (Techniques d’Avant Garde) became a major shareholder in the British outfit.

In 1995, Aziz’s brother, Mansour, took delivery of a Pale Blue Metallic F1 (chassis 036) and as a McLaren VIP, Aziz was able to request the last car to roll off the production line which is the vehicle you see here.

Configured in Yquem with Black leather upholstery plus Orange GT-style inserts for the driver’s seat and matching upper steering wheel band, chassis 075 was further customised by way of a believed unique wooden gear knob and matching handbrake lever inserts.

Aziz Ojjeh retained his one-off F1 until 2006, at which point he sold it to his brother who kept the car until his death in June 2021.

Currently showing just 1125 miles, the Bahrain-domiciled chassis 075 forms part of the 20-strong Manshour Ojjeh Collection which Tom Hartley Jnr. has been commissioned to represent.

The McLaren F1 is widely regarded as the most technically advanced and significant supercar ever produced. Engineered by a team led by Gordon Murray, it integrated Formula 1-derived innovations with pioneering road car technologies. Featuring a naturally aspirated 6.1L V12 engine developed by BMW Motorsport, a central driving position, extensive use of carbon fibre monocoque construction, and a focus on lightweight materials including titanium and gold foil heat shielding.

The F1 set new benchmarks in performance, aerodynamics, and engineering purity. Upon its release, it was the fastest production car in the world, and it remains a definitive reference point in the evolution of high-performance automotive design.

This example is the last F1 road car ever produced and with just 1,810 km from new, it is one of the lowest mileage examples in existence.

It is the only F1 finished in Yquem from new, a nod to the Château d’Yquem brand of Sauternes wine, crafted in the vineyards of southern Bordeaux. Similar to 075, its golden-orange hue shifts with the surrounding light.

It was fitted with a black leather interior, ‘Daytona‘ style seats with orange inserts on the drivers seat and in addition it was specified with many special features such as a wooden gear knob and wooden inserts for the handbrake lever.

It is offered complete with its original handbooks including the ever-important service/warranty supplement, dedicated fitted luggage, Facom tool chest, tool roll, additional steering wheel and gear knob, original Autoglym cleaning kit plus many other factory delivered F1 accessories including the Tag Heuer commemorative watch.

Without question one of the most important F1s produced.

Currently located and taxes paid in Bahrain.
