History of chassis 3156

Chassis 3156 was the 76th Miura P400 built. A left-hand drive car with the 0.9mm chassis, it was painted Verde with a Senape interior.

3156 was dispatched from the factory on October 4th 1967.

The green Miura was delivered to its first owner, Gini Bertani, and registered on the Verona licence plate VR 185 813.

Soon afterwards, chassis 3156 contested the 1967 Trofeo Esplanade Intercontinental which was organised by the Auto Club Milan. The circa 700km rally started in Milan then passed through Trieste and Lubiana en route to Zagreb.

Gini Bertani retained chassis 3156 until December 1968. At this point it was sold to Gabriella Palazetti in Perugia who registered the car PG 138300.

The Miura was later exported to France and at some stage its engine was removed.

3156’s original motor (number 1388) was sold by RM Sotheby’s in 2020.
