History of chassis KLA12905

Lamborghini produced 657 examples of the Countach 25th Anniversary and 67 were right-hand drive.

Of these, chassis KLA1905 was unique.

It was ordered new by Reg Howard who requested a one-off paint colour: Azzuro Speciale. The interior was to custom specification as well. Pale blue leather was used for the seats, transmission tunnel, sills and lower dash. The dash top, steering wheel rim and gear knob were dark blue leather. The carpet was also dark blue.

KLA12905 was completed on April 3rd 1990. Reg Howard personally collected the car from Sant’Agata and drove back to the UK on the Escursionisti Esteri plate EE 449 AU. A few days later he took the freshly run-in machine to a Supercar track day at Castle Combe as depicted here.

The Azzuro Speciale Countach was subsequently UK registered G901 BLD.

Reg Howard kept his Countach until 1992 when it was put up for sale with William Loughran.

A year later the car was sold via Graypaul Ferrari who added a rear spoiler.

KLA12905 has since gone through the hands of several owners and appeared on a variety of different plates.
